App designer – Settings tab

You can create custom entities by going to “App designer” from your Account settings. In this article, we will cover every feature the “Settings” tab from the “App designer” has.


The “Settings” tab will allow you to set up the main properties of your custom entity.

  • Name of the entity: is the name of the custom entity; 
  • Show in top menu (works only after logout): If you check this box, the entity will appear in the top menu or under “More”;
  • Show in top menu under group: For adding your custom entity under a group in top menu;
  • Menu sort order: Sets the order of the entities in the top menu;
  • Activate comments widget on the entity page: if you check this box, the comments section will appear on the internal form;
  • Activate attachments widget on the entity page: if you check this box, the Attachments section will appear on the internal form;
  • Activate team restrictions for records: allow you to limit access to the custom entity for one or more teams;
  • Allow duplicate: Allows you to duplicate a record from the entity. If this option is not active, the duplicate button will not appear in the main grid;
  • Allow delete: Allows you to delete a record from the entity. If this option is not active, the delete button will not appear in the main grid;
  • Allow import: Allows you to import multiple records. If this option is active, the “Import records” button will appear in the main grid;
  • Allow add from grid: If this option is active, the “Add” button in the main grid will be visible (default option is active);
  • Activate public form: Once checked, the custom entity will have a public form;
  • Multilanguage on public forms: If you check this box, a dropdown with the available languages on the platform will appear on the public page;
  • Comments on public form: If you check this box, the comments section will appear on the public form;
  • Show audit log: If you check this box, the “Show audit” button will be visible in the main grid;
  • Public from slug (last part of the page URL): if the Active public form is checked you can customize the URL from the public form;
  • Public form header: the header can be set here. You can add text that can be modified (font, size, color), you can add the company logo;
  • Public form footer: the footer can be set here. You can add text that can be modified (font, size, color), you can add the company logo;
  • Activate as a subgrid on the following pages: if you link another entity with the created entity, a box will appear. This must be checked if you want a subgrid to appear in the form.
